Washington Wines

Syrah, Three Rivers Winery, 2001
The 2001 Columbia Valley Syrah is sourced from five different vineyards from throughout the Columbia Valley. Licorice, blackberries and cedar exemplify this well-balanced wine. This Syrah was aged for fifteen months in small American and French oak barrels adding to its complexity and structure.

Merlot, Three Rivers Winery, 2001
The 2001 Columbia Valley Reserve Merlot has ripe fruit and concentrated flavors of dark chocolate, black cherries and vanilla. This wine has a long, rich finish, adding to its complexity. Look for this wine to mature gracefully in bottle. The fruit was sourced from two well-established, award-winning vineyards: Champoux Vineyard and Conner-Lee Vineyard.

Red Meritage, Three Rivers Winery, 2001
Meritage is an invented word that combines "merit" and "heritage" (and rhymes with heritage). The 2001 Red Meritage blend exhibits an array of aromas and flavors including blueberry, boysenberry and lavender. This unique wine is a beautiful example of just how complex and harmonious Bordeaux grape varietals can be when blended together. This wine has tremendous aging potential and will be drinkable well into the future.

White Meritage, Three Rivers Winery, 2003
White Meritage wines are blends made from traditional Bordeaux white varietals. Our blend consists of 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. This classic wine shows acidic verve, with lemon drop punctuation. The 100% barrel fermentation and 10 month sur-lie ageing gives this wine a rich and creamy mouthfeel. The crisp acidity and fresh finish makes this a great wine to pair with food.

Gewurztraminer, Three Rivers Winery, 2001
The 2003 Late Harvest Gewurztraminer mimics past vintages. Tropical fruit flavors explode in honeyed richness. The increased hang-time allowed the distinctive nuances of this spicy grape to blossom. The residual sugar of 8.5% in this wine lends itself well as a dessert wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Three Rivers Winery, 2002
The 2002 Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is an intensely concentrated wine with nice varietal fruit expression. Knockout aromas of sweet black cherries, currants and vanilla veer toward powerful flavors of tarry black fruit. Revel in this wine now or cellar for future enjoyment, for this is an agreeable wine.
MC2, Three Rivers Winery, 2002
This wine is a blend of 34% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Cabernet Franc- thus the moniker "MC2." Tart cherries and spice lead to a smooth finish. With its appealing fruit forwardness and soft tannins, this wine is a great everyday wine.
