LaFayette Selections, LLC is a 7 year old company. Dr. Lemarchand (former retail owner) took over as the CEO in August 2006. He restructured the company, gave a new direction, strategies and leadership to this distributorship originally specialized in French and Italian wines. The success of the "new" company has led to the development of another company, "LaFayette Imports, LLC" based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Andrew Sparks is the owner and CEO of the North Carolina operation.

 

Rebuilding an image based on quality, service and trust, LaFayette has been working on balancing its portfolio allowing more domestic, European and South American representation. Portfolio Director Mike VanHassel and his extensive wine knowledge as well as his “on premise” and “off premise” experience continues playing a crucial role in implementing this global and balanced philosophy. The expertise and advice of Josh Phelps, Nicholas Grannan, Darlene Caulder, David Wright, Michael Gray and Alvaro Sosa are helping shape the future of Lafayette Selections.

 

Classic with a modern flair, global with a strong domestic presence, Old World and New World styles are all present in Lafayette’s goal to bring you good wines from around the world as well as from the United States, all at a reasonable price. This philosophy is well reflected in our new logo.

 

 

We partner very closely with the producers and we are actively working on our portfolio to reflect this philosophy and bring in new wines that we have personally carefully selected.
